Outdoor Maternity Photoshoots in Worcestershire
LOVE AND WONDER, BEAUTIFULLY FRAMED BY NATURE
Pregnancy is an incredible and beautiful journey. It is full of excitement and new memories. My photographs will remind you of this unique time once you become parents. They will become a memento for you to cherish for many years to come.
Let's celebrate your journey with a maternity photoshoot in beautiful Worcestershire!

Pregnancy is a joyous time for the mum-to-be as well as those close to her. During a maternity photoshoot with me, you have a chance to reflect on the life you have built together - whether you come alone, as a couple expecting your first baby or as a family. It is also an opportunity for you to spend a wonderful time together focusing on your love, closeness and shared anticipation.
As a mum myself I know you want to look back and feel beautiful and authentic... I know you want to see the connection to your unborn child and family. I'll create candid and relaxed photos, capturing genuine emotions without forced poses or expressions.

What are my outdoor family sessions like?

Family photoshoots are full of children, pregnancy bumps, mums, dads, and even grandparents. They're also filled with hugs, giggles, and often, bare feet! Oh, and let's not forget about the dogs! But most importantly, my lifestyle family photoshoots are all about capturing the essence of your family—your bond and connection. I have a few tricks up my sleeve to keep the little ones entertained (and the adults too). We'll take a leisurely stroll, find a cosy spot to sit (I always bring blankets!), share cuddles, and let the kids run free. Each season brings its own unique charm and opportunities. There might be butterflies to chase, sheep observing us, bluebells carpeting the forest floor, or colourful leaves to toss around. Now, you might be wondering, "What if my children misbehave?" The truth is, it's quite common, and I've written a separate blog post—check it out here.

How to choose the best location for your outdoor pregnancy photo session in Worcestershire.
Choosing the location for your maternity photoshoot might feel like another decision you have to make, but it really doesn't need to be.
Tell me what you love and I'll help you find the perfect place.
My outdoor maternity photoshoots take place all across Worcestershire. We could meet in a beautiful woodland, a wildflower meadow, somewhere with wide open views, a quiet nature reserve or even somewhere close to home.
Perhaps you love walking in the Malvern Hills. Maybe you dream of being surrounded by bluebells in spring, long golden grasses in summer or beautiful yellow and orange woodland in autumn. Perhaps you'd love somewhere completely wild and natural, or maybe you want somewhere easy to reach with plenty of parking?
You might already have a favourite place that means something to you. Or you might have absolutely no idea where you'd like to go. Both are fine. That's where I come in!
I know more than 15 beautiful locations across Worcestershire and I choose them carefully for different seasons, weather conditions, light and types of photographs. I'll recommend somewhere based on you, your due date, the time of year, how far you'd like to travel and what you want your photographs to feel like.

We can also choose between different types of light. A summer evening maternity photoshoot with golden grasses and a beautiful sunset will look completely different from a spring session surrounded by fresh green leaves and bluebells. An autumn woodland will give you all those gorgeous golden colours, while winter has its own quiet, dramatic beauty.
And if your dream is to meet me at sunrise, I'll get up early with you. ;)
I also think about how the location will work for you physically. You're pregnant, after all. You don't need to hike for an hour to get beautiful photographs. Some locations have very easy access, while others involve a short walk. I'll always explain what to expect before we decide.
Once we've chosen your location, I'll also help you decide what to wear, which maternity gowns will work best and when we should meet for the most beautiful light.
Outdoor maternity photoshoots last between 60 and 90 minutes, so there is plenty of time to slow down, explore, change outfits, have a rest and enjoy being somewhere beautiful. I won't rush you through a list of poses and send you home! We're a team in all of this. My job isn't simply to turn up with a camera. It's to plan the whole experience with you, find the right place at the right time and gently guide you once we're there.

What to wear to your pregnancy photoshoot outside?

There is no single right thing to wear for an outdoor maternity photoshoot. Wear something that makes you feel like yourself and makes you feel comfortable. That might be a beautiful maternity dress you already bought, something simple and fitted, jeans and a denim jacket, or one of my flowing maternity gowns.
I genuinely believe pregnant women are beautiful, and my job is to photograph you, your bump and the way you feel about this little person you're waiting to meet. You don't need to look a certain way or feel confident in front of the camera. If you're feeling heavy, tired or a little uncomfortable by this point in pregnancy, that's completely understandable. Most mums to be feel exactly the same.
I'll guide you gently throughout the photoshoot and show you how to move and where to stand, while still leaving plenty of room for you to simply enjoy the experience. We'll chat a lot, I'm fun and easy going :)
And if you've always dreamed of having those beautiful maternity photographs, trust me and do the photoshoot. You'll never regret having photographs of yourself at this incredible stage of your life.
How many outfits should you bring?
Most mums choose to wear more than one outfit, and you have access to my maternity client wardrobe as part of your experience.
You could start in something you've brought from home, then change into one of my maternity gowns. Or two. ;)
I'll show you the gowns available when you book, with photos and videos so you can see how they look on a real person rather than trying to imagine them from a tiny picture on a website.
If you're local to Worcester, you can also arrange to come and try them on before your maternity photoshoot. This means we can find the ones you love before we head out to your chosen Worcestershire location. I can always bring them all on the day, of course.
Whether you choose your own clothes, one of my gowns, or a mixture of both, I'll help you plan what will work beautifully with the location, season and light.
You don't need to arrive knowing exactly what to wear. That's part of what I'm here for.

How long is a maternity photoshoot in Worcester?
My maternity photoshoots in Worcestershire are usually 60 to 90 minutes long. There is plenty of time to slow down, enjoy being outdoors, take a little rest when you need one, and create all the beautiful photographs you've been dreaming of.
And yes, there is time to change into different maternity gowns too. If you've fallen in love with more than one dress from my client wardrobe, we can make the most of it.

I don't believe maternity photography should feel rushed. We have time to enjoy the location, find the best light, try different ideas and make sure we photograph everything that matters to you: you, your bump, your partner and all those little details you want to remember.
I'll guide you throughout the session, so you don't need to know how to pose or what to do. You can simply enjoy being together, take in the beautiful Worcestershire countryside and let me create the photographs.
If you need to sit down for a few minutes, have a drink or simply catch your breath, we do. It's your maternity photoshoot, and there's no prize for finishing early. ;)
Bringing your children? Your session becomes a family photoshoot, as photographing the whole family requires more time and more images. Ultimately you get a much larger gallery too.
You'll find full details and pricing on my pricing page.

When to book & have your maternity photo session in Worcestershire.
Contact me once you've had your 12 week scan or when your bump is nice and big, but before you're 35 weeks!
Gorgeous mum-to-be - the best time to have your maternity photos taken of your lovely bump is sometime between the 28th and 35th week when we can see the bump well. I highly recommend not leaving your maternity photography session to the last minute - some babies can't wait to meet their parents and they arrive sooner than expected.

Who am I?

I'm a nature-loving mama, wife and a family photographer living in Worcester. I've had the privilege of discovering some of the most picturesque spots in the county (often with my toddler in the backpack).
I often hear from my lovely couples and families (and they put that in their reviews, too!) how relaxed I made them feel and how much they enjoyed the experience.
Think of me as a fun mum-friend who's taking you for a fun walk in the park!

A pregnancy photoshoot feels very special to me and reminds me of my own experience.
This was my first ever photo session where I was in front of the camera.
It was before I became a professional maternity photographer in Worcestershire, and without a doubt, this experience helps me photograph my pregnant couples.

Free group breastfeeding photoshoot every July.

In July 2024 and 2025, I organised a special event - a group breastfeeding photoshoot. They took place at National Trust Croome Court and Spetchley Park Gardens, timed for Breastfeeding Awareness Week. It was a beautiful and moving day, bringing together 15 mums and their children to celebrate the beauty, joy, and naturalness of breastfeeding. But it wasn’t just about the photos; it was a day of connection, empowerment, and sharing. We laughed, cried, hugged, and shared our stories.
